I competed on Saturday 11/20 at The Good Fight, in my first tournament as a blue belt. I took 3rd place in the absolute and went 1-1 in my weight class. I want to say right now, I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIRD PLACE MEDALS! I am not the kind of person that is happy to just say that i  got a medal at the tournament. Anything less than first place is falling short of the goals i have set for myself.

Having said that, the one thing i am happy to take away from this tournament is the experience. I got 5 matches under my belt that i will be able to learn from and improve upon for the next tournament. Like always i have allot of things that i want to work on, and this tournament has made me more hungry than ever to work harder!

I would like to thank all my teammates at Paramount BJJ and Team LLoyd Irvin for helping me to prepare. I would also like to thank Ryan Zuever at Guerrilla Strength And Conditioning, i was not tired at all after any of my matches and i could have easily done 5 more!
