Congratulations goes to Cathryn Millares for winning her first world title last week at the 2021 IBJJF World No-Gi Championships. She is the third Paramount BJJ competitor to win a world title and the first to do it in a No-Gi competition.
Everyone at Paramount sees the commitment, consistency and work ethic displayed by Cathryn. In addition to working full-time as a nurse and pursuing a masters degree, Cathryn is on the mats almost daily training as hard as anyone else. Now the hard work has paid off, and no doubt it will continue. The whole team is proud of her.
Next up she’ll be competing at the IBJJF World Masters Championship, a gi tournament, where she’ll have an opportunity to win a second world title within just two months.
