The IBJJF held the 2012 No Gi World Championships this past weekend at the Pyramid in Long Beach, California.

So, who became the Next World Champion on Team Lloyd Irvin? Quite honestly, there were many.

Devon Delbrugge, Sijara Eubanks, Tim Spriggs, Roberto Torralbas, Willie Leonard, and Keenan Cornelius all won Gold and World Titles at their respective weight classes. Delbrugge, Eubanks, and Cornelius also won Gold at the Absolute (all-weights) class.

At black belt, DJ Jackson made history by becoming the first EVER American to win 4 World titles in 4 consecutive years- one at each belt rank! He was also the first African American to win a world championship at black belt. In the final, he beat Clark Gracie (Yes, of THE Gracie family) by a score of 5-0.

Master Lloyd Irvin himself stepped out of retirement to win Gold at the senior division, showing that he walks the walk and proving once AGAIN that the Team Lloyd Irvin SYSTEMS are legit.
