I was watching The Ultimate Fighter last night and team GSP had Mike Tyson giving the fighters advice after a fight. His speech to the fighters was about having confidence going into a fight and that confidence breeds success and success breeds confidence. I think that he made allot of good points, but at the same time i kept thinking what about overconfidence? My only concern about being too confident is that  you may not take your training or your opponent serious enough. You should always be confident if you trained your hardest and did everything that you possibly could to prepare. When i get to a tournament i always think to myself, did i do everything i could so that i can win? When your left alone with your thoughts, you cant lie to yourself. You definitely need to be confident when competing, but at the same time expect a battle not an easy win. In competition anything can happen!
